Terms of Service
These are the platform-level terms — the account system and the infrastructure every course sits on. Each course also carries its own terms page with course-specific disclaimers (exam-prep accuracy, trademark notices for the vendors it covers); this page doesn't replace those, it sits underneath all of them.
What this platform is
Academy is a free educational resource: course lessons, practice tools, and exam-prep material, most of it usable with no account at all. An account exists for one reason — to sync your progress (quiz scores, flashcard state, checklists) across devices instead of leaving it stuck in one browser's local storage.
Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything done under your account. Use a real email address you control, since it's the only way to reach you (account-security matters, or — once it exists — a password-reset link). Accounts are for individual use; don't share one login across multiple people. Account sign-up isn't intended for anyone under 13.
Acceptable use
Use the site lawfully. Don't attempt to disrupt it, scrape it abusively, try to break into another account, or bypass the login gate on a course that requires one. Don't misrepresent any course's practice material as official vendor content — every course's own terms page already says its exam-prep questions are original material written to published objectives, not real exam content.
Content is provided "as is"
Every course here is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied — the author is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Tooling, pricing, product names, and certification details change constantly; course content reflects a point in time and may be out of date. Always verify current details against official documentation and certification pages before making a decision or booking an exam. This mirrors what each course's own terms page already says about its specific subject matter.
Not official; not affiliated
Academy and every course on it are an independent, third-party educational resource, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of any vendor, certification body, or open-source project whose material a course happens to teach. Each course's own License/Terms page carries the specific trademark and affiliation notices for the products it covers.
Your account and your data
What's collected through an account, and how it's used, is covered in full on the Privacy Policy — these terms don't repeat it. In short: no analytics, no ads, no selling or sharing your data, and you can ask for it to be deleted or exported at any time (today by contacting the site owner; a self-service option is planned).
Suspension & termination
An account that violates acceptable use — abuse, attempted intrusion, bypassing a course's login gate — can be suspended or terminated. Most of the site's content stays usable with no account at all regardless.
Changes
These terms may be updated over time; continued use of the site after a change means you accept the current version. Material changes will also be reflected on this page's own history in the repository.
